Assured us unit would fit our closet space. It didn't. Now, we're left with unit sticking outside closet, the door removed so they could work won't fit back on without construction add-on, and the unit itself has an AC filter so difficult to replace, we have to lie down on the floor like we're changing the oil filter in a car, and prop the flap in which it goes, open, to get replacement filters in slot. We've played phone tag, and Schneider just shrugs. We got an estimate from a handiman for $900 to build out the frame and replace the door he'll have to modify so the unit can suck air from the door bottom. Also, took installers 3 hours longer to install than time estimated by salesman. Finally, installers relocated the digital thermostat from the office, where it worked reliably, to the kitchen, so now, when we're cooking, the AC reads the higher temperature, and kicks in to compensate costing us more, not less, in our electric bills. We're extremely displeased with Snyder, Buckhalter, or whatever they're called, and will take our business elsewhere in future. We can't say enough bad about them. We paid $14,000 for THIS.

I’m sharing this so other homeowners are aware of how Snyder handles their diagnostic promises. I paid $518 for an emergency service with the understanding that a camera inspection was included to find the cause of my backup. The inspection was even scheduled as a follow-up, but it was never performed. Instead of completing the diagnostic, the 2nd technician provided a quote for over $3,000 in services, including hydro-jetting and a new cleanout. When I spoke to a manager to get the original camera inspection rescheduled, I was told they wouldn't do the camera work unless I first approved the $3,000+ jetting service. It feels like the camera inspection I already paid for was being held hostage unless I agreed to a major upsell. I sent a formal email to Synder to resolve this privately and received a response of the $3000+ invoice. They are trying to take advantage of customers and offer expensive repairs without any diagnostic confirmation.

Snyder Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electric in Jacksonville, Florida. The Snyder Plumbing department of the business is a Terrible, unprofessional company Branch. They sold me a brand new Water Softener installed it, then came back five months later and said there was a problem with the softener, and they were doing a company recall. I asked for a refund being they took away the Water Softener I paid for in full, and they said they would get back to me. It has been over six months now. I have made multiple calls regarding this issue every month since they took away the Water Softener, to resolve this, and they are still giving me the runaround, and not trying to work with me. I am still paying for the house loan that I got for the ten thousand dollar plus Water Softener and they have not refunded me or done anything to fix the issue. They are a terrible, terrible, poorly ran, unprofessional company and I would suggest everyone stay far away from them. I'm filing a lawsuit this coming Monday against them.

Abysmal customer service. Tech troubleshot our HVAC and said parts needed to be ordered. Since then, it's been weeks of us following up for status and dealing with no shows at appointments. Sorely disappointed in the lack of professionalism, follow through, etc., and will take our business elsewhere.

Ac tech came out on December 5th to service systems. He found an issue and was going to order replacement parts. He called and said something about the parts not being available. Since that time I have texted with the company asking for someone to call back to explain the issue. Multiple times I was told someone would call but nobody has. I think taking over 20 days to call is inexcusable. Time to find another provider. Sad part is that Snyder bought out the company who installed my new ACs. The other company never gave me this type of customer no-service.

German was polite and prompt. However, I feel we were taken advantage of by unrealistically high prices. A new thermostat costs $40 & 10 minutes labor, yet we were charged over $400. When confronted, German said he couldn’t call his office for an explanation on the high labor cost. We will not use this company for any of our houses.

If I could give zero stars I would called Snyder out because our system was stuck pumping heat they came out saw it was an older system took one look at it and said it needed a whole unit wouldn’t you know it I called out a privately owned company for a second opinion and after actually testing wiring which Snyder did not all I needed was a new thermostat and my system is working great just like it was before 👎👎👎👎👎👎

I found this company in my local “best picks” magazine. I was really disappointed with my Experience. I scheduled an electrician to install a ceiling fan ($210) and then I wanted to quote other major projects around the house. The electrician was really unprofessional and took an extremely long time to talk through options. While he was here, he told me he had to remove this panel to check the wiring behind. When he did that, he lost a screw and didn’t put it back on correctly so the right switch is pushed in to the wall. They send text messages to communicate with you and I contacted them twice about this situation and was sadly ignored. Needless to say, I did not use them and don’t plan on it. Look elsewhere!

CONSUMER BEWARE- Snyder technician came out, same day. No issues with him. However, I was charged $418 for the service call and a new thermostat. The technician was here for less than an hour, and the thermostat retails for less than 30$.

Called for service on Friday morning and was given a time of slot 10am-2pm. They pushed the appointment all day because they are behind schedule. At the end of the day majority of the technicians are sick. They promised to come out 1st thing Saturday morning. Saturday morning is here and now they want to push the appointment again. If you can't perform the job just say that instead of having a customer clingy to hope that you guys are going to show up.

Had a new AC installed in April 2025, in June 2025 the AC started freezing up continuously. Had Snyder come 3 times each time saying nothing is wrong. Finally they figure out they need to order three parts. This was the end of July. It’s now October and they are refusing to even return our calls. $12k system that can’t maintain a temperature under 77 degrees without freezing. Beyond disappointed. If I could give negative stars I would solely based on their lack of communication. Be cautious giving them any work at all.

Simply horrible. They bought or partner or whatever with Palm Air and now its a mismanaged mess. The people answering the phones are useless, they send techs who can not service the very units that are having problems and they are inefficient with all followup. STAY AWAY. Call AirRef.

The guy we dealt with today for a 2nd time was extremely rude and condescending. They repaired stuff that didn't even need repaired and charged us a high amount.

This review doesn't really cover the repair itself. I had the work done, the work was fine, the leak was repaired. My main issue is with billing. I originally contacted Snyder about a leak I had noticed coming from a second floor bathroom. It was traced down to a faulty original tub installation - specifically the overflow. The way the tub was installed had cracked around the gasket needed to seal the overflow valve. The person who came out to my house told me, "We'll try for a repair that you'll have to pay for today. In the event that the repair doesn't work we'll credit you for the cost of the repair from the installation cost of a new tub." That seemed like a reasonable deal to me so I took it. Unfortunately the repair didn't work and I had to have a new tub installed. As can be guessed the whole, "we'll credit you for the cost of the repair against the tub replacement" never happened. TBF it isn't a crazy amount of money and I did call them up twice to have it corrected. Both times the Master Plumber or whoever wasn't available. The second lady I spoke with said she had transferred my request to billing or accounting and I would be credit within a few days - that never happened.

I had them come out because none of toilets were flushing. They came out I paid 250.00, they got it unclogged but the following day everything is clogged now worse sewage now coming back up into the tubs. Hurts paying that much to still not have indoor plumbing. Currently trying to find someone to truly fix the cause. Update called them, they offered to let me pay 100.00 for them to come back out, and maybe fix the issue with no promises of fixing the problem. AKA milking as much money as they can out of me. Unfortunate for a business that’s been around so long.

I purchased the maintenance plan with Snyder in December and part of it is the emergency fee being waived with the promise of emergency service. I had an issue in June and called them only to be told that emergencies are only when the AC is out. Living in Florida I could totally see that and understand it - no problem. Yesterday I came home to my AC being out, I called Snyder and was told that they had no APPOINTMENTS and I had to wait until the next day for service. Remind you, it was 90 degrees outside and in my house! The part that I do not understand is that my AC was completely out but now I am not an emergency. Remind you my call was placed around 5 p.m!! I will not use Synder again!! Total ripoff

Snyder arrived at our home to fix a condensate pump on our AC the technician told no one absolutely nothing after diagnosis of AC unit turned our AC completely off he then proceeded to sit in our yard for a hour left our home and did not tell anyone anything and now our AC unit does not turn on at all when I called to ask what is going on I was told they can’t tell me anything because I’m a tenant what a wonderful company

The technician showed up two hours late. He never went under the house, then told us that there was a lot going on in the unit. He also said that there was an issue with the compressor. He then told me that he spoke to his supervisor and that they couldn’t do anything for me. They stated that they could not get the parts I needed for my AC unit. I called Epic Ac they came out about an hour later. They looked at the unit and the unit was perfectly fine. The technician then went underneath the house and found that it was just a duct that was no longer connected. It took him 10 minutes to fix the duct. If you want honesty and integrity, call Epic Ac. If you wanna be lied straight to your face and taken advantage of call Snyder.

I bought a house 7 years ago from someone who completed a major remodeling project just before the sale. The remodeling included a new AC system from Snyder. At closing, he turned over the documents on the system, including the warranty information which included a 12-year parts warranty. I then contacted Snyder to see about adding a 12-year labor warranty a the suggestion of the seller. The person I spoke to (at Snyder) understood that I had just purchased the home from the person who had just contracted for the new system. Snyder was happy to take my money ($1290.00) for the warranty, assuring me I now had a 12-year parts and labor warranty. I then purchased the annual maintenance plan every year for the last 7 years, paying for the semi-annual servicing to keep the warranty in force. Recently, the system went down, and I called for service. The technician who came to the house told me that I needed a part for around $3000.00 and I did not have a parts warranty since I didn't purchase the system. I understand that the law does not require that warranties be transferrable, but I was assured I was covered under the circumstances in which mine was purchased. Unfortunately, I can't prove what was discussed verbally during a phone call 7 years ago. However, I would not have purchased a $1290.00 labor warranty had I been told that I did not have a parts warranty. I called Snyder and asked to speak with a manager to present my case. My call was not put through to a manager as I requested. Instead, I was told I could email my concerns to the "warranty manager". I exchanged emails 3 times with this person, each time asking to speak to anyone in management. My request to have my concerns heard by a member of management was denied four times - once verbally and three times by email. I then contacted another HVAC company on the recommendation of a friend. The problem was an evaporator coil, which was $1700.00 for the OEM part. The total repair was $3300.00 including parts, coolant and labor for a repair that should have been fully covered. I understand I have no legal recourse with Snyder. I just wanted to have the opportunity to be heard, but nobody cared. I have a new AC company now.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Had a technician come to the house for a free estimate. He told us how much it would cost and what was wrong. Tried to get financing, but was denied. Then the technician says we need to pay 100 for the estimate!! He didn't even do anything and yet wants us to Pay 100 for a free estimate! Horrible service!!!

I am a widow and single Mom, I recently found out that there was not so safe electrical wiring in my home. I called several pros to get estimates and options. When I spoke with Synder Co the man sounded like he could not be bothered, I sent 3 other companies my inspection report and my concerns. The very day of the appointment with Synder he told me there is nothing they could do, so I wasted a day off work. I had not sent them the report nor had he even gone to look to give me an estimate and he did not even call me back as he had to talk with a manager. Now several weeks later I have 3 companies with great options and reasonable prices. Why did I waste my time and off work with this Synder who I got off Angis list. I do not recommend Synder Co for any jobs to be done at your home

After 3 separate visits they finally found out what was wrong with my unit but have gone back on their word regarding price. Asked for an estimate they sent out a tech, the lady got upset just because I mentioned I have got a quote from somewhere else and they have told me what the issue is. She says “then what am I here for” very rude. Nothing wrong with shopping around and get the best ac system deal. She did not even give me best or cheap options for the unit she said oh your budget is not our match we don’t do those cheap units reach out to B cool without even knowing what my budget was. Then their tech Aiden Tavenner refused to leave the property before he was paid. Professionalism at its poorest! Perhaps he would not have been so bold with a male. Regardless, poor customer service, prices, and still don’t have a working AC unit!!!!

This company charged rediculously high price for their services. I recently asked them to work on two projects: fixing a toilet problem and a power outlet issue. They replaced a toilet for me. The toilet the replaced was a cheap brand only cost $109 at Home Depot, and they charged me a total of $707 for the work. They replaced ONE GFCI outlet, which on Amazon, only cost less than $10. I am sure they purchased with less price. They charged me $245. Before I scheduled the work, I talked to the representative over the phone and aske them to give me an estimate of their price, she refused. I asked if the labor was an hourly based. She said it was per work order. I shared a bad experience in the past that there was another company which gave me rediculous quote on a different project in the past, and she promised that their company would never do that. However, the quote they gave me on site were exact the opposite. If I did not accept, I had to pay $100 each to the plumber and the electrician for their diagnoses. I will never ever use this company again. I also causious you to try this company since you might ended up in the same situation as me: paying $100 for nothing, or paying overprice for their services.

Poor Service and Broken Promises - Elderly Customers Left in Dangerous Heat Rating: ⭐ (1/5 stars) I am writing this review on behalf of my elderly parents who have been failed by this company in the most unacceptable way possible. My parents, both in their 80s, have been without air conditioning for over a month during one of Florida's hottest summers on record, with temperatures reaching 90+ degrees daily. On June 14th, the technician assessed the unit and assured us that a needed part would arrive within 7-14 days. It has now been over a month, and the part still hasn't arrived. When we call for updates, we get vague responses and empty promises about "checking on the order." This is poor customer service. We need action immediately!

I bought a yearly maintenance service in 2024 and in February 2025 the technician came to my condo to do the last service. At that time, I told him I did not want to renew the contract. On 7/2/25 I got charged another year of maintenance despite my refusal. I have called three times to get my money back and I have been told several things: 1) "They would call me back" (for what, I do not know, because I only need my money back), 2) My oney would be refunded in 48 hours (not true) and 3) My money would be refunded in 10-14 days. It is incredible that business today make it so hard to create loyalty with their customers, they take your money right away but when it is time to return it, they make it so difficult. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Posted June 30, 2025: I had previously experienced better service from Snyder, but since having my home electrical upgrade, it has been awful. Repeat inspection fails. No communication without me calling multiple times to confirm details. The work was supposed to be done in March. I paid almost $12,000. It is now the day before July, and only now getting the next step done after the last failed inspection. I have not had a proper connection to city electricity since the job started. The technician had to use a ratchet strap to hold power since the existing line didn't reach without it. I have been met with endless excuses about why the communication fails and why the job isn't done. If a company can't finish a job, they should stop taking on new ones until they are done. If I pay for something, it better be done properly and in a timely manner. I will not use Snyder for any future work. Three months after paying, it is still not done. They quoted me for a new job, but I will not be following up after this experience. I should be compensated for waiting three months with my having to work harder to communicate than they have to finalize the work. Update 7/7/2025 The technician that came out June 30th claimed he would fabricate necessary parts to meet inspection requirements and return today, July 7th by 8:30AM to complete the work. I called to discover they are sending the original technician, which was notably criticized by other technicians from Snyder, to complete the work. No one communicated the change of technician, nor did anyone provide an update to scheduling of when to expect work to be done. It is growing to be more frustrating to get this done. They already were paid, but I have to wait from March into July now to deal with their failures.

I called for service due to my kitchen sink and guest bathroom being clogged. Was offered a $4500 jetting service. I like most people don’t have $4500 for plumbing. They then offered $900 to snake. I of course declined then proceeded to take a look myself. As soon as I removed shower drain stopper i found 4 bandaids blocking drain then went to kitchen sink and snaked hair. This all took me 30 mins. I don’t know if all plumbing companies are a scam or just this one. Will never consider calling this company again

Technician has arrived on time. Went to check unit outside. Never came back. Only by calling company next day I have been told what scope of work is needed to be done. Cleaning coils and installation of some kit. 1300 plus $. After asking why is so expensive they offered just to clean coils for 890$. I have called the other company. Ended up paying 250$ for a new breaker installation and cleaning a contact wires. So that was a loose wire cousin breaker to turn off. Have a good day.

I was a customer of Buckhalter Air Conditioning for years and received excellent service from them. In May, my ac was blowing cool, not cold air. I called Snyder, who I understand purchased Buckhalter, and the technician added coolant. The ac blew cold for a couple of weeks, then went back to blowing cool, almost warm air. I paid $440.00 for 2 weeks of cold air. I subsequently called a different ac company. The technician added coolant, cleared the drain, and it has been blowing cold air since that visit. They even charged less.

I would rate no stars if possible. I was informed I would receive a Goodman system and they installed a Carrier system. Installers were unprofessional and one remained on the phone all day so it took forever to install. Also installed the handler and placed the old dust filled filter in it. Just sloppy work. Then when I called the service rep that sold me the $11K system to inform him I was unhappy, he hung up the phone on me.

I normally don’t write a review but given time I just had to in hopes that someone will read it. A little over a month ago I paid Snyder just shy of $700 to replace a capacitor on my air handler. It’s steep and for people that don’t know this is only a $20 part give or take a few bucks on Amazon. Yes they are fast and did get my A/C working for my tenants since I live out of state. The part that really set me over the edge is the whole time the tech was trying to convince me to get a service plan and to have the coils / ducts cleaned because he said they were extremely dirty. I passed due to knowing I was selling the house in a few months and informed him of this because I can do it all myself. Then RELENTLESSLY he tries calling / texting / and emailing both me and my wife to the point we had to block all forms of contact with him. Something I was firm yet polite with him over the phone initially to begin with. Harassing business tactics is where I draw the line with a company in any situation! Then a few weeks later I visit my house since my tenants moved out and I was LIVID. He put back in a 3 year old filter that my tenants never replaced when there was two more brand new ones beneath it!!!! The house wouldn’t cool below 79 due to that! The new ones can even be seen in the pics he sent us. The evaporator coils took less than a minute to brush the debris off it and that’s me nitpicking being clean. All air ducts were extremely clean for 30+ years old. Funny enough zero pics of the coils on the intake side or the supposed “very dirty ducts” had pictures in the invoice. I cannot express enough that this company doesn’t care about you, they just want to charge 2-3x more than the smaller guys and get you on some type of monthly / yearly fee. You are truly a number to them!

Truly the worst service I’ve ever received or paid for. From the moment Buckhalter joined Snyder I have had 3 canceled scheduled appointments. Today makes number 4. The scheduled appointment is 10-2 pm. After calling at 3pm I was moved back due to delay in prior jobs. At 5pm I called again. Now the estimated time is 11pm. After a very poor conversation the appointment is moved another two days. We pay for maintenance and have had multiple leaks. Poor service top to bottom. Utter regret they hold our AC warranty now after Buckhalter was bought out. Total waste.

I wish I could give Snyder zero stars. I typically do not post negative reviews. However, the service technician showed up and quoted 650 to cap lines for two bathroom sinks. He also seemed to be looking for other stuff to fix. It was an upscale experience. The tech was nice. But the quote was obscenely high. I called another plumber who charged less than half.

The rating has nothing to do with the Tech, but the company and how much they charge people for work to be done. I had to have a handle and cartridge replaced on my bath tub. Due to previous owner rigging it up , the screw had to be drilled out, which caused damage to the cartridge. The amount i had to pay to fix it was astronomical. I will never ever due business with this company ever again. I would not ever recommend this company to anyone. As for the tech he was very professional and polite. I feel sorry for the Techs that work for such a company as this one.

I purchased a brand-new AC unit from Snyder just a year ago, and it has already broken down. My husband reached out for a repair 15 days ago, and they have yet to fix it. The lack of urgency and customer service is beyond frustrating, especially given the high cost of a new unit. We expected better reliability and service, but instead, we’ve been left with no AC and no resolution. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a dependable product or service.

I often don't post negative things, but this is something everyone needs to be aware of. I had Snyder man come out after we had the deep freeze and my A/C wasn't working correctly. After a diagnosis I was told it would be $3000 - $5000 to fix my AC or I could buy a whole new unit for $19K. I wanted a second opinion so the next day I had sunrise heating and cooling come out and they told me nothing was wrong with my AC and that when the temps get this cold with the moisture it slows down the fan from working properly. 10 days later my AC is working fine and I've called three times for a refund from Snyder man and I keep getting the answer of we're looking into the issue. Do not trust Snyder man. Sunrise heating and cooling told me they could install a new AC for $8K. Snyder man is a con man!

I don’t usually post reviews but I felt it was necessary to hopefully keep people from getting taken advantage of by Snyder. I had them come look at my electrical panel. The technician arrived and said it needed to be replaced. He was quick to provide an estimate. It came in at $4900. I knew this was an inflated estimate. I told him I knew this was too much and had him leave. He said for the pleasure of him giving me this outrageous estimate I would need to pay 100 dollars for this extensive ten minute service call. I did agree to pay to get Snyder off my property. A friend recommended I call American electric. They were able to diagnose the problem, yes I did need the panel replaced. But they would do it for $3250. Well Snyder, how do you justify your price. Everyone who reads this, please don’t call the these scammers. They only plan on ripping you off!

About a year ago we chose Snyder, based on reputation, to replace our entire AC system. When they were finished, and we had shelled out over $20k, we were surprised to find we were left with an unsightly hole in our ceiling (photo 1) Snyder had chosen a smaller 24x24” size vent to replace our original larger sized vent without telling us. We initially thought this was something they would fix, and the job wasn’t done, but after calling we learn that we are expected to hire a drywall person to fill the holes they left behind. Eventually we get our trusted drywall guy out to take a look, and he says he can’t patch it. The frame and filter Snyder installed wasn’t even close to flush with our ceiling. We had to get Snyder back out to fix their initial job. After sending three technicians, the first of which was wildly unprofessional and kept complaining about what a terrible job they had done, then proceeded to do nothing himself, Snyder ‘repaired’ their initial job. The filter did seem to be sitting flush with the ceiling, so we called our drywall guy back, and he got to work. After 6 hours of work he goes to put our filter back in the ceiling he repaired only to find that it won’t fit. The metal frame Snyder built for the duct is 24x24x24x23” (photos 3&4) It’s not even a square. It’s then when we notice Snyder botched the register, cutting a chunk out of the frame so it would bend to fit into their trapezoid (photo 2) Now I’ve got a frustrated drywall guy who wants to be paid, a gaping hole in my ceiling that won’t fit a register, and Snyder telling me I’m outside the 30 day guarantee for the work they did to repair the garbage initial job they did of leaving a big hole in my ceiling to start with. I’m sure these guys can repair your AC unit if it stops working or whatever, but they clearly do not know what they are doing when it comes to system installation. Majorly regret choosing them for such an important job.

First, the positive, The four employees I met were pleasant and the electrical connections were done to code . Second the negatives, Dewayne and Andre came late in the morning took and a two hour lunch. Afterwards the lead electrician sat in his car for an hour, while his apprentice tried to do work, he did not have the capability to do. They did not carry enough electrical supplies in their truck to complete the job in one day. You can see from the photographs that the pro/trans box was put in unlevel. In the other photos you can see the install of the two hanging lamps was not properly attached to the cable that supports the lighting from the ceiling. In the last photo, you can see how I fixed it. When they came out to do the original estimate, I told them the type of generator I had so that I could install a system to use it through my electric panel. I also showed the electrician on the day of the install the type of generator I was using. After everything was installed, and the electrician showed me how everything was going to work it turned out my generator does not work with the system they chose to install. That means I need to sell my generator now and buy a new one because of their mistake. After spending the entire day, he blamed my hanging light fixtures for the reason he had to come back a second day to finish the installation. This is after they spent six hours of actual work time when it should’ve according to another electrician, I talked to taken three hours. Last, but not least the lead electrician cursed under his breath repeatedly loud enough for us to hear from the other side of the room. Finally got a generator that would work with the system they installed and the installation of the back up generator wiring panel was incorrectly done we went without electricity for four hours, waiting for Snyder electric to come back out. Mark Sallette Came out and fixed and repaired what the previous electricians broke and badly installed. He was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I would give Mark a five out of five stars. I would change my rating overall if Snyder Electric did something to reward my wife and I for the unprofessional behavior of the previous electricians and their shabby work. Such as a minimum of a $100 gift certificate at a local restaurant to pay for my time and frustration level.

So please pay attention who does your bathroom/ shower remodels. This company doesn’t have no clue on how to frame or install hardiboard on your shower walls. They use to sub us the bathroom and shower tile installation till the last job because we couldn't just do everything over and over with this company. First where everytime we came to a job to install just tiles that was juat only thing we spouse to do but not we had to tear what they do and re-do the Framing and hardiboard to make everything square we did 4 jobs for them and all 4 jobs we had to redo everything , second they never use conduits fitting on the repipe so if anyone here click click on the wall its because the lines are lose in the wall, thirdly on last job weren’t getting paid fully because they blame us to that we didn't know how to install tiles but the whole framing needed to be adjust and because i got tired of removing and redoing everything what the synder crew did , last but not least it take them ti replace single faucet for 2 hrs even when they are 2 of synder crew there. It takes every other company to replace faucet less than 1 hr. These people or crew doesn’t know exactly what they doing in bathroom and showers remodel so stay away from them they make promise they cant keep because they keep cutting corners. So we were subcontractor for shower not regular customer so we pin point everything we saw there and i mention over here!! Never would ever ever work for this company as subcontractor, even if i was customer i would stay away from them ! Hope this help everyone else. If i could give them -5 star i would.
